Howard Ostrofsky
Qualification Obtained: B.Acc CA SA (1983)

I started my accounts career in 1973 and completed my articles at Wilkov Glass Arenson & Herbert in Roodepoort (1973 - 1978). 6 years later, after 2 successful years at Kessel Feinstein I was made a partner at Herbert & Trakman.

Anthony Feinberg
Qualification Obtained : Bcompt CPA SA (1990)

I started my articles in 1982 at Saloner Goodman Fisher & Co and completed my articles at Herbert and Trakman in May 1983.

I have enjoyed a successful 25 year career with Octagon, which changed its name from Herbert and Trakman .

Clifford Livingstone
Qualification Obtained: B.Acc CASA (1981)

I completed my articles and training at Eliasov Wolf & Partners and my degree at Wits. I qualified in 1981 and joined the practice of Bloch Schaffer Engelberg & Partners as a Partner. This practice amalgamated with Herbert & Trakman in 1985. The Partnership changed its name in 1997 to Octagon which co-incided with the firms move to its own premises in Waverley, from where it continued to operate

I have served on School & golf Committees and am a Trustee of the Houghton Caddy Trust and have recently started a networking and social investment initiative called the 10 20 30 Network. I am the driving force behind Octagons programme to move from average to excellent.

Ashrauf Moosa
Qualification Obtained : B.Com (ACC) B.Compt (Honours) (1982)

Because of the Apartheid laws at the time, I had to study at the University of Durban where I obtained my B.Comm (Acc) degree and thereafter enrolled with UNISA to obtain the Honours degree.

My career started at the Rand Daily Mail and Attorneys Kaftel & Partners. I completed my articles Juoelmen, Arstein Engelberg & Partners. The latter company got taken over by Bloch Schafer Engelberg & Partners. Bloch Schafer & Partners then merged with Herbert & Trakman which is now Octagon. I have amassed 24 years working experience.

Waldek Wasowicz
Qualification Obtained : CA SA (2002)

I started my training contract at Ernst & Young and completed it successfully at Octagon. I became a partner in March 2006.

Stanley Paiken
Qualification Obtained : CA SA (1981)

I trained at Fram Cohen. Once qualified I joined Micher & Partners as a partner for 3 years. After 15 years at Urban Real Estate as their Financial Director I joined Octagon as a Partner in 2000.

Saville Paiken
Qualification Obtained : Matric (1973)

I started my articles in 1975 with Jos Fine and then moved to Milner & Partners in 1983. In 1987 I joined Herbert & Trakman which changed its name in 1997 to Octagon.

Raymond Bloch
Qualification Obtained : (B.com B.Acc CA (SA) (1981)

I have 20 years in practice since qualifying in 1981. I completed my articles at Goldberg Jaffe (now Maares Rawland) and Pollack & Pollack.
